Over the last 20+ years, I have been part of many home decor co-ops. The first ones were fun and profitable and the relationship continued until a long distance move for my family. In recent years, I participated in local shops, but only one had the good vibes and vendor relationships of previous experiences. The others started well, but I cut short the relationships due to lack of organization, petty differences among vendors, immoral and (borderline) illegal actions on the part of the owners. You would think I had learned my lesson....but....
In early 2018, an acquaintance tagged a friend's new business on Facebook. A new Mercantile and an established Flower Market, owned by sisters, were teaming up to create a fabulous shopping experience for locals. They were looking for new vendors to be part of their team of funky, eclectic, new and vintage home decor and fashion. Without thinking, I submitted photos of my art and the new line of paints and glazes I had come to love. I was accepted immediately and we decided to start with the line of paints first. The Grand Opening of the Funky Shack Mercantile and Flower Market was a few weeks ago.
What a fabulous day we had! The vendors and owners worked together for weeks to bring together delightful collections of home decor, fashion, bath & body, and beautifully arranged floral designs. Accompanied by a talented event planner who laid tables of sweet and savory refreshments and mouth watering BBQ by one of the owners....the day was a complete success.
Senoia Trading Company and Small Town Finds & Designs continue to grow like weeds in a garden with new and exciting products in line for DIY'ers, hobbyists and crafters and those desiring a Farmhouse or Cottage decor.
Welcome! We are so happy you are here to watch and join in our journey!
